Step 1.

Step 2.

Consultation

During the consultation stage, we will gather the information needed to determine what your capabilities are and which business models match you best. Our first objective is to understand you, your past skills, what type of lifestyle you want, and your overall goals. The more we know about you, the better job we’ll do at matching you with just the right franchise.

The ultimate goal of a franchise business is to award a franchise to the candidate who is the most highly qualified and will thrive in the operation of their business model. Your success is the franchise’s success! You can rest assured knowing that the information you provide us will be kept confidential and will not be provided to anyone without your prior permission.

Step 3.

Evaluation

We will introduce you to the franchises and coach and guide you through the entire process. You will learn valuable information on all of their great business models. You should expect to hear about some exciting name-brand franchises in the categories that interest you. Keep an open mind, evaluate and compare all the business models, and be careful not to disregard a business until you have all the information. The first glance at a business may not paint the entire picture. Learn the numbers and examine the operation of a business in order to reveal some impressive potential that may have been overlooked at first.

Step 4.

Review of Franchise Disclosure Documents

Once you receive a franchise disclosure document (FDD) from a franchisor, you’ll need to thoroughly examine the contents and ask any questions you may have. The FDD will also contain a list of franchisees and contact information. We highly recommend that you speak with the franchisees in order to get a feel for what it’s like to operate a franchise under their system.

Call Franchisees

Before you buy a franchise, it is imperative that you ask the existing and past franchisees the right questions. We will provide you with a list of questions to assist you in this process. This is a great opportunity to learn valuable information from those who have experience with the franchise. Take this opportunity to validate the franchise opportunity and get an understanding of the profitability of the franchises.

Consultation With Attorney and Accountant

The necessity of consulting with a competent attorney and/or accountant prior to purchasing any business cannot be overstated. It is vital that both professionals have a background in franchising to ensure you’re covered in every way to benefit your position. If you don’t already have professionals in mind, we can make recommendations.
